So I have decided to share this month's top 3 Pinterest picks through this wonderful link set up by Inspired Owl's Corner and PAWSitively Teaching.
With February break and Valentine's day coming up so soon, I know that the excitement level in the classroom will be rising all to quickly. I chose 3 engaging activities to try (key word try) to keep the students on task as we enter the last week of school before break.

I just loved all these ideas for a Valentine's party. The only one that I wouldn't have been able to use with my class is Cupid's Arrow. Although I think this game looks so cute, my class just wouldn't be able to handle it :( There are even free signs available to use for the different centers!

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but it seems that whenever the kids create these cute valentines holders out of paper or paper lunch sacs they rip, and the valentines are all over the floor which begins multiple arguments about who's valentine is who's. I think this idea will fix all of that! I love the idea of having parents send in empty gallon milk jugs and then cutting off the tops and decorating with heart stickers. This way students can carry their valentines home much easier as well.

Although this last pin isn't as fun as the previous two I love it! I found this pin on my newsfeed a few days ago when I was just scrolling through but I think that it is a great idea! Each child gets a strip of paper with the numbers of the test. They color in the question numbers that they got incorrect on the test as you review it together. Very easily you can see which question stumped the kids (AKA - probably a poorly worded question OR a point that you did not teach well). This will let me know where I need to go back and reteach and it will show me quickly which students really struggled. I would have all my students use the same colored crayon because it would just make it easier for me to see the pattern.

I loved the valentine holder. Thanks for sharing. Now I have a new holder to try out for next year! I always try to make different ones each year!
